The Vari-Fan and Vari-Cyclone are powered by a permanent magnet DC fan motor that is solar-friendly and was specifically created to be used off-grid. These fans will draw 1/10th the power of a AC fan running through an inverter. The battery powered ceiling fan motor can be operated from 12vdc or 24vdc (double the RPM) directly from a battery bank or PV solar panel. The decorative Vari-Fan comes with 5 blades and can be set up with only 4 blades. The blades are finished in a light oak stain on one side and a dark oak stain on the other. The fan body is a paintable black plastic and the fan blade arms are cast metal and finished in a shiny brass plating. The more efficient Vari-Cyclone puts out 23% more air flow than the largest Vari-Fan. The Vari-Cyclone can be ordered with either 3 or 4 blades. The blades are made from white injection molded ABS plastic. The blade arms are black stamped steel with baked on white enamel finish. The fan body has a painted white finish.
